Here’s part 2 of my chat with Joel Comm from Affiliate Summit West 2008. In this section, Joel and I chat about a new venture he’s involved in TextCastLive.

TextCastLive is a service/tool that allows marketers (merchant or affiliate) to build double opt-in marketing lists of mobile phone numbers, then market to them using text mesages. Joel maintains that email marketing is dead or dying and that open rates on email are abysmal. We all check our text messages when they come in and well designed marketing campaigns can generate great results.
